About the Artist / 鎌田 惺舟 (Seisyu Kamata)
5歳より筆を持ち、半世紀以上にわたり古典書道の深淵を追求。楷書から石鼓文、象形文字に至るまで、古の先人たちが築いた美の骨格を体得する。
毎日書道展や創玄書道展など、国内の主要な展覧会において数多くの入選・受賞を重ね、技を徹底して磨き上げるも、墨一色の枠組みを超え、文字を感情と情景を宿す生命体として解き放つべく、独自の技法「カラーブラッシュアート」を確立。
伝統への深い敬意と現代の自由な感性をアシンメトリーな章法（空間美）で表現し、国内外のコレクターへ唯一無二の価値を提供している。
Having picked up a brush at the age of five, Seisyu Kamata has pursued the profound depths of classical calligraphy for over half a century. Having mastered ancient scripts from Kaisho (regular script) to Stone Drum Inscriptions and hieroglyphs, he refined his craft through prestigious national exhibitions such as the Mainichi Calligraphy Exhibition and the Sogen Calligraphy Exhibition.
Seeking to release characters from the monochrome world as living entities imbued with emotion and scenery, he established his signature technique, “Color Brush Art.” Combining traditional disciplines with modern acrylic pigments, organic textured Washi paper, and radiant gold accents, Kamata crafts exquisite fine art that offers unparalleled value to collectors globally.

1. 伝統の礎（Foundation of Tradition）
He began practicing calligraphy at the age of five, and has dedicated himself to this path of self-improvement for over half a century. The perfect structure and aesthetics of Japanese calligraphy, which has been passed down since ancient times, form the unwavering foundation of all his expressions.
5歳から筆を執り、半世紀以上にわたり書道という自己研鑽の道を歩む。古来より継承されてきた日本の「書」が持つ完璧な骨格と美学は、彼のすべての表現の揺るぎない土台となっている。
2. 葛藤と転換（Conflict and Transition）
For many years, he was immersed in the world of modern calligraphy, where technique is judged solely on the color of black ink. However, at some point, his spirit transcended that framework, and he began to seek out overflowing colors. Despite criticism of being “unorthodox” and suffering from loneliness that could not be measured by existing judging standards, the lines he etched with such force that they caused tendinitis eventually evolved into his own unique visual art.
長年、墨一色の世界で技術を競い合う現代書道の中に身を置くも、いつしか自身の精神がその枠組みを超え、溢れ出す色彩を求めるようになる。「邪道」との批判や、既存の審査基準では測りきれない孤独に苛まれながらも、腱鞘炎になるほどの筆圧で刻まれる線は、やがて独自の視覚芸術へと昇華された。
By fusing traditional calligraphy with vibrant acrylic paints and three-dimensional gold borders, he reconstructs characters as a three-dimensional “story.” Even after turning sixty, he continues to pursue new possibilities for calligraphy, incorporating techniques such as creating deep backgrounds using washi paper and utilizing the latest AI technology (Midjourney). Each stroke is a prayer to unleash the spirit of antiquity into the modern space.
伝統的な筆跡に鮮やかなアクリル絵の具や立体的な金縁を融合させ、文字を三次元の「物語」として再構築する。和紙を用いた奥行きある背景描写や、最新のAI技術（Midjourney）を取り入れた表現など、還暦を過ぎてもなお文字の新たな可能性を追求し続けている。一筆一筆は、古の精神を現代の空間に解き放つための祈りである。
