“Rat/Mouse” The Japanese zodiac kanji represents agility, wisdom, and vitality, and I expressed this in ink. I also incorporated the image of wisdom that has long been associated with rats into the animal’s round eyes. This is a work that combines the meanings of the kanji. I hope that the artist can feel the atmosphere of handwritten calligraphy.
「子・鼠/ねずみ」日本の干支の漢字が持つ、素早さ、知恵、そして生命力を墨色で表現しました。また、古来よりねずみが持つ知恵のイメージを、そのつぶらな瞳に込めました。漢字が持つ意味を融合させた作品です。直筆の筆文字の雰囲気を感じてもらいたいと思っています。
