I have created a piece centered around the Japanese kanji for “dog,” exploring themes of loyalty, vigilance, and warmth. Depicting a dog standing quietly in the moonlight, I aim to symbolize the arrival of a peaceful year, as represented by the Year of the Dog. Through the timeless image of a canine companion, I hope to bring comfort and warmth to viewers.
